Maximize your time to ensure you treat your hair to a mask every week. It could be when you're doing the washing up, working out at the gym or watching Tv. You will notice your hair happier and healthier within a month.

Don't mist dry shampoo all over your hair, like you would with hairspray. Instead, take sections of hair, then apply directly to the roots bit by bit. You'll find it soaks up oil and volumizes far more effectively.

If you have thick hair, heavily condition it in the shower, and only semi-wash the conditioner out. Towel dry it, then twist it into a low knot at the nape of your neck. At the end of the day, take it out, and you will have a gorgeous 40's style wave.

Mix a spoon of any nut oil into your hair conditioner once a week for an extra moisture boost.
