Microdermabrasion

A hand-held device targets a jet of micro crystals at the face and neck which are then vacuumed away, taking the top layer of dead skin cells with them. The crystals effectively exfoliate, improving tone and texture and revealing newer, softer skin.
At the same time, collagen production is stimulated. This relatively painless treatment reduces the appearance of fine lines and scars, sun damage, age spots and large pores. Following microdermabrasion, skin will respond better to anti-ageing creams.
There's a very low risk of scarring or uneven pigmentation in comparison with other resurfacing treatments and no recovery time is needed, although skin may be red for a few hours afterwards.
A course of 5 to 10 treatments is usually recommended depending on skin damage and the results you want to achieve.
