Recipes for juice fast (Detox)


The following recipes offers you a wide variety for juice meals, ideally for detox programs, but you can also make up your own blends. You can dilute these recipes with water, in fact, many health professionals recommend diluting all fruit juices with and equal amount of water.
It's recommended to have one beet juice and one cabbage juice a day due to their effectiveness in cleansing the body.

Breakfast ideas:

Recipe 1
handful parsley
4-6 carrots
parsley sprig for garnish
Bunch up parsley and push through hopper with carrots. Garnish with sprig of parsley.

Recipe 2
0,5 cm slice ginger root
4-5 carrots
1/2 apple, seeded
Push ginger through hopper with carrots and apple.


Recipe 3
1 pink grapefruit (leave white pithy part)
1 red apple, seeded
Push grapefruit through hopper with apple.

Recipe 4
2 firm peaches, pitted
1/2 lime
1 ripe banana
1 tbsp brewer's yeast
Juice peaches and lime. Place juice, banana and yeast in blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

Recipe 5
handful parsley
5 carrots
1/2 apple, seeded
Bunch up parsley and push through hopper with carrots and apple.

Mid-morning snacks

Recipe 1
1 large kale leaf
2-3 green apples, seeded
lime twist for garnish
Bunch up kale leaf and push through hopper with apples. Garnish with lime twist. You won't even taste the kale!

Recipe 2
 0,5 cm slice ginger root
1 beet
1/2 apple, seeded
4 carrots
Push ginger, beet and apple through hopper with carrots.

Recipe 3
handful spinach
4 lettuce leaves
4 sprigs parsley
6 carrots
1/4 turnip
Bunch up spinach, lettuce and parsley and push through hopper with carrots and turnip.

Recipe 4
small handful parsley
4 sprigs watercress
1/4 potato, peeled
6 carrots
Bunch up parsley and watercress and push through hopper with potato and carrots.

Lunch

Recipe 1
handful dandelion greens
3 pineapple rings, with skin
3 radishes
Bunch up dandelion greens and push through hopper with pineapple and radishes.

Recipe 2
handful parsley
handful spinach
4-5 carrots
2 stalks celery
Bunch up parsley and spinach leaves, and push through hopper with carrots and celery.

Recipe 3
2 parsley sprigs
small handful wheatgrass
4-6 carrots
2 stalks celery
1 apple, seeded
1/2 beet
Bunch up parsley and wheatgrass and push through hopper with carrots, celery, celery, apple and beet.

Recipe 4
2-3 garlic cloves
1 kale leaf
1 large tomato
2 stalks celery
1 collard leaf, chopped
1 tbsp croutons
Roll garlic in kale leaf and push through hopper with tomato and celery. Place juice in saucepan, add chopped collards and gently heat. Garnish with croutons.

Mid-afternoon snacks

Recipe 1
1/ pineapple, with skin
1/2 apple, seeded
0,5 cm slice ginger root
Push pineapple through hopper with apple and ginger.

Recipe 2 
handful spinach
4-5 carrots
Bunch up spinach and push through hopper with carrots.

Recipe 3
handful parsley
5 carrots
1/2 apple, seeded
Bunch up parsley and push through hopper with carrots.

Recipe 4
1 small beet
2-3 apples, seeded
Push beet and apples through hopper.

Happy hour

Recipe 1
1/2 cantaloupe. with skin
5-6 strawberries
Push cantaloupe and strawberries through hopper.

Recipe 2
5 cm watermelon, with rind
orange slice for garnish
Juice watermelon. Pour juice into glass and garnish with orange slice.


Recipe 3
1 green apple, seeded
1 stalk celery
Push apple and celery through hopper.

Recipe 4
4-6 sprigs fresh mint
2 green apples, seeded
1 small lemon wedge
sparking water
mint sprig for garnish
Bunch up mint and push through hopper with apples and lemon. Juice directly into a small pitcher filled with ice. Pour juice into a tall glass and fill with sparkling water. Garnish with sprig of mint.

Recipe 5
1 large bunch grapes
1 quart blueberries or blackberries
sparkling water
lemon twist for garnish
Push grapes and berries through hopper. Juice directly into small, ice-filled pitcher. Pour juice into tall glass and fill glass to top with sparkling water. garnish with lemon twist.

Dinner

Recipe 1
1 cm wedge green cabbage
2 green apples, seeded
6 carrots
Push cabbage, apples and carrots through hopper.

Recipe 2
1/4 head cabbage (red or green)
3 stalks celery
Push cabbage and celery through hopper.

Recipe 3
3 broccoli flowerets
1 garlic clove
4-5 carrots or 2 tomatoes
2 stalks celery
1/2 green pepper
Push broccoli and garlic through hopper with carrots or tomatoes. Follow with celery and green pepper.

Recipe 4
handful parsley
1 kale leaf
1 large tomato
2 stalks celery
1 collard leaf, chopped
1 tbsp croutons
Roll garlic in kale leaf, and push through hopper with tomato and celery. Place juice in a saucepan, add collards and gently heat. Garnish with croutons.
